It’s wrong to say that men hate shopping. They love to shop too but they’re too shy to admit. Anyway, it can really be a bit “unmanly” to walk around the mall all day doing nothing but looking at items for sale and trying each one of them out. What’s the challenge with that?
Women are typically hands-on when it comes to shopping. Let’s say, they’re practical — they want all things “tried and tested”. Men, on the other hand, don’t “give a damn” about that. If they want something, they’ll buy it straightaway. Rob Keye, CEO of Fizzback even said, “Men are much more likely to go into a shop, get what they need and come away feeling as though they’ve done a good job. Women expect more from the retail experience, and will notice things like poor customer service, unhelpful staff or below-standard products, and give a more negative rating accordingly.”
This is the exact reason why online shopping particularly interests men more than women. As we’ve said, men don’t really care about “trying and testing” first before buying. If they want something, they’ll find ways to purchase it ASAP, and in the most comfortable way. And what’s more comfortable than doing all these online, sitting on a chair (while Queen’s singing in the background)?
If you’re a woman, there’s nothing really unpractical about online shopping. Why not try purchasing something small online first to see that there’s nothing really wrong about online market sites.
